The question many customers ask is: should I opt for glass or plexiglass display case? The advantages of the plexiglass are the following: it is lighter (easier to transport/lift) and more transparent than glass (no aqua tint on the corners). Note that it has to be handled with caution though, since it can be scratched easier than glass.

We are excited to let you know that we now make our acrylic display boxes and plinths from recycled Plexiglass, Astariglas® ECO CAST! Sustainability is becoming increasingly important nowadays, and we at Solits feel the responsibility to make our contribution into protecting the environment. Astariglas® ECO CAST has all the positive properties of standard Plexiglass/acryl, including the high degree of transparency, and it is 100% recyclable.

If you order both a plinth and a perspex acrylic display case with us, we will also offer you a complimentary top plate of the same color as the plinth. It ensures that your acrylic hood fits seamlessly and is properly secured. What do we do differently? The plate we attach is made-to-measure and its size is very precise, down to a mm. When we place the acrylic display box over it, it creates a nearly invisible and smoothly integrated connection between the display case and the plinth.

Would you like us to add a lock attaching the hood to the plinth, or to place two very discreet, almost invisible screws on the sides to secure the hood to the plinth? This would make sure your display case does not get tampered with if left unattended.
