Faust Museum in Knittlingen
The first contact between Solits and Faust Museum in Knittlingen was established in 2021. The museum was looking for high-quality plinths and display cases for its permanent exhibition. They found what they were looking for at Solits.
Faust Museum in Knittlingen is a literature and theme museum beased on the Faust myth. Faust myth is a legend about a German magician and a doctor Johann Faust. Immediately after Faust’s death, probably around 1540, a rumour spread that Faust had made a pact with the devil. This story was translated many times. Several books have been written based on it. Many modern day theater performances and even puppet shows are based on it. Goethe wrote his version of the story as well. Knittlingen is the birthplace of Faust, so it's no wonder that this beautiful museum is located in the old town hall in Knittlingen.
Faust Museum has had the same layout and appearance for about twenty years. Then, within the last 3 years , its permanent exhibition was completely transformed. The exhibition now occupies a central space in the museum, presented inside beautiful displays protected with glass display cases. "Black Box Faust" is located on the ground floor, featured in various glass display cases preventing the items being damaged through impact or dust. Several display cases are equipped with doors and locks so that the museum can easily change the exhibits and the books, but everything remains well-protected. The glass boxes are securely mounted on luxurious black tops.
We hope to get you inspired with the classic yet modern ambiance of this museum, with its beautiful matt black plinths and practical, sturdy and safe display cases made of Opti-White glass, fitted with a door and lock.
We would like to thank Faust Museum for their trust in Solits and their great cooperation.
