Solits switches its standard finish of custom-coloured plinths to matt: a more luxurious and sustainable choice

We have something to celebrate: we will be switching to matt finish for all our colored plinths, later this year. Matt finish will replace satin as a standard. Our black and white plinths are already matt, but soon our coloured plinths will all be matt as well. You may wonder why we feel the need not only to switch, but to also celebrate the switch, right? To begin with just one thing, matt is the modern trend, and we naturally want to provide you with the latest trends in the interior design world. That's not the only reason though. Why do we choose matt?

1. More luxury

Matt pedestals give your interior a luxurious, stylish and modern look. They take the glamour of interior to a higher level. The matt finish provides a calm, serene and soft appearance that fits perfectly within the famous timeless Scandinavian look.

2. Trend-sensitive and timeless

In 2023 and 2024 we will see a strong rise in earth tones, pastel colours, natural colours and classic white being used in the interior design projects. These colours can be combined with a matt finish perfectly, which makes them stand out even more. Think of colour shades such as green, yellow, lilac, ice blue and that amazing terracotta pink colour that brings in calm, warm and luxury notes into any interior.

3. Scratch-resistant finish

A matt finish offers several practical advantages over satin. Matt paint is less likely to be scratched and is generally stronger. This makes our plinths not only more beautiful, but also more durable. It helps you enjoy the perfect quality of our product for longer!

4. Reduction of reflection and glare

Matt finishes reduce light reflections, creating a more pleasant and visually calming environment. This is especially useful in rooms with a lot of natural light or a strong artificial lighting, because matt plinths spread the light more softly.
