Solits at the Museum + Heritage Show, London

Categories : Top

On the 12th and 13th of May, the Solits team travelled to London to take part in the Museum and Heritage Show, one of the biggest gatherings in the UK for professionals working across museums, galleries, and heritage attractions. Two days packed with conversations, ideas, and a stand that turned quite a few heads.

A Show Built for Our World

The Museum and Heritage Show brings together people from every corner of the sector: curators, collection managers, exhibition designers, and heritage attraction operators, all under one roof to discover new products, swap ideas, and see what's shaping the future of museums and heritage spaces. For a company like Solits, whose work sits at the intersection of design, conservation, and craftsmanship, it's exactly the kind of room we want to be in.

Our Stand: A Big Acrylic Statement

At the centre of our stand this year was a large demountable display case in acrylic, designed to show visitors exactly what's possible when flexibility meets fine detail. Demountable display cases are built to be assembled, taken apart, and reassembled without losing an ounce of precision or protection, which makes them a favourite for museums and heritage sites that need adaptable solutions for touring exhibitions, temporary displays, or evolving gallery layouts.

Visitors stopped by to look closely at the acrylic construction, ask questions about how the case comes together, and picture how a similar plinth or display case could work for their own collections back home.

Solits Greener Choices

A big part of our conversations on the stand centred on Solits Greener Choices, our commitment to using sustainable materials in the plinths and display cases we make. For museums and heritage attractions that are increasingly thinking about their environmental footprint alongside the protection of their collections, this is a conversation that matters more every year. We were glad to talk through how sustainable materials can sit comfortably alongside the strength, clarity, and precision that any good display case or plinth needs to offer.

Two Days Well Spent

Between the demonstrations, the questions, and the conversations with people who care deeply about how objects are displayed and protected, the Museum and Heritage Show reminded us why events like this matter. It's a chance to meet the people who look after collections every day, hear what they need, and show them what Solits can bring to their museum or heritage site.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand over the two days. We're already looking forward to the next one.
