Now that the sun is shining again, we are receiving more and more requests for the outdoor pedestals.

In addition to our traditional Belgian bluestone and granite pedestals, which are beautiful but also quite heavy and expensive, we also have an alternative now: a sleek white or black hollow acrylic plinth in glossy or matt finish. We manufacture those from 8 mm Plexiglas using an adhesive so strong that it can withstand all the adverse weather conditions, long-term.

This plinth is easy to move, making it ideal for relocation or setting up outdoor pop-ups and exhibitions.

We have our own in-house plexiglass production, which mostly allows us to deliver quickly and make the plinths completely to measure.

Our customers often ask us the following question – isn’t this pedestal a bit too lightweight? What will happen to it on a windy day, will it be turned over by the wind?

If you have such concernes regarding placing the plinth your garden, for example, we always recommend it to our clients to do the following:  make a hole in the ground, of about 20 cm deep and about 10 cm longer/wider than your plinth, fill it with a mixture of sand and gravel up to 5 cm in height, install the plinth on top of this mixture, and fill the sides around the plinth with the ground you have dug to create your hole.

Your plinth will be sitting on a secure pillow of gravel, 15 cm deep into the ground. This solution will work perfectly for those windy spots outside where you would love to place you sculpture to admire it from the right angle.
