Pedestal Bases: The Square White Display Pedestal is our most popular design of pedestal base and is perfect for a museum, exhibition or art gallery. These sculpture pedestals or bases are expertly constructed from sturdy 18mm Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF). They are designed to be robust and long-lasting, and our Square White Display Pedestal can carry weights of up to 150 kilos (if you have a very heavy sculpture we can also reinforce pedestals further on request). The sides of our pedestal bases are mitred to form an extremely strong and seamless structure. Inside they are sealed against moisture using an adhesive. Outside they are primed, undercoated and hand-rollered using an acrylic Dulux brilliant white Eggshell paint to give them a seamless white finish. If you are transporting them around the country for exhibitions, the finish can be easily be touched up or repainted if required. Not for outside use. We can also produce clear Acrylic Display Cases to sit on top of pedestals in this design. We also offer a range of Cylindrical Columns.

Regrettably we do not currently ship plinths outside the UK.
The eggshell finish we use has a slight texture (this comes from the roller application) which makes the surface non reflective but cleanable, unlike a matt emulsion finish.
We can custom build pedestals to your own specification, including a top rebate to allow for a clear acrylic cases.
