This Solits plinth is made from MDF with mitered joints. The MDF that it is made of now has a matt scratch-resistant HPL layer.
Until May 2020, we used the spray-painting with water-based paint technique for manufacturing our black MDF plinths. This gave our products a nice smooth look, but the possibility of scratches was high. That is why we started looking for alternatives.
The current version has sharper corners, it is matt finish and is scratch resistant. The look is different from the previous version of this plinth, but we like it better! And it has an additional advantage: we can have these displays ready for you faster now, since we do not have to include the required drying time of approximately 3 working days into the production process.
Our pedestals are supplied with sturdy, custom-made felt pads, 4 mm thick. They protect both the plinth and the surface it is standing on from getting damaged.
