If you want to give an unexpected twist to the look of your plinth or your display stand, you can do it by mixing and matching various materials for the plinth itself and for the top. For example, a black granite top looks fabilous on a white plinth, a top in your house color on a black plinth will give your interior an integrated, finished feel. In addition to varying appearance, a top can also provide protection for your pedestal. We quite often sell our cardboard bases with a black or white acrylic top to protect the pedestals against water.
