Oak Veneer Plinth, bespoke

When you seek a beautifully finished plinth with an Oakwood look, and still has a manageable weight, then a pedestal made from oak wood veneer is the right choice. Compared with solid Oakwood, veneer Oakwood plinths will not crack, or be subject to colour differences.

Oakwood veneer is often selected as an alternative for clients who desire large Oakwood plinths. This because solid large sized Oakwood plinths would otherwise be too heavy of just because larger sizes can often not be made from one single tree trunk.

We manufacture these plinths from European Oakwood veneer, Dosse type. This type of veneer contains a beautiful design or flame, which is characteristic for the Oakwood look. Plinths are made with mitered corners. And thanks to the careful production, as with all our Solits plinths, no seems are visible at the edges.

We hand finish the plinth with a water-based clear matte varnish, this helps the reduction of dirt and dust on the plinth and enables easy cleaning of the plinth.

Our pedestals are supplied with sturdy, custom-made felt pads, 4 mm thick. They protect both the plinth and the surface it is standing on from getting damaged.
